Caduceus is the name given to the symbol of energy body. This symbol was taken as per the picture present on the top of the staff carried by a great Greek philosopher of 6 B.C. by name Aesculapius. The picture depicts the energy network of the human body which contains seven major energy centres , otherwise called as the Chakras and its tributaries. The symbol contains two major energy tubes ‘Ida’ on the left side and ‘Pingala’ on the right side. These two tubes intertwine with each other at seven places along the axis of the body. Each meeting point of these two tubes is technically called as the ‘Chakra’ or wheel of energy which gives off many emissaries which travel all over the sub- cellular body for its energy nourishment.
